# Compilation errors (2026 modernization)

The most common group after the 2026 modernization: **`cannot find symbol`** / **`package does not exist`**
from using a **removed or renamed** API. Format: **symptom → cause → fix**.

## Fix-up table: legacy → current

## Removed with no direct replacement
`Grid`, `Tree`/`Node`/`TreeModel`, `TopMenu`, `Accordion`, `Spacer`, `Velocimeter`, **PDF**, **ESC/POS**,
**Barcode** (now via camera), **printers**. If your code uses one of these, you'll need to re-architect
(e.g.: `Grid` → `GridLayout`; `Spacer` → `Gap`/fractions; barcode → `CameraBarcode`/`BarcodePicker`).
